The search continues

I know I'm not keeping a very good updated blog at all. I promised I would when I moved for mom.

Here is a quick one:

Still hunting for a job, the economy stinks in case you haven't heard.

I made some friends at church so I have been getting out of the house a little more.

Monroe is on a 10 day leave before he goes back to training then he comes home for a few days and then leaves. With him here we have been sleeping in, and eating all kinds of junk.

Those 7 pounds I lost, are back.

I got my hair cut, It is around my shoulders. Once I can fix it and like it I will take a picture.

I'm using my GPS less and less.

I haven't been to the beach since Maddi left.

That is all I can think of now.

Love and miss all,

Little Lost

I have lost 7 pounds since moving to California. My clothes still don't fit and I still feel fat, but the scale has moved.

I'm on Day 3 of no soda. I hope I can keep going.

I have eaten more chips ahoy today than anyone should have.

Funny, and True Story

Ok It began on Labor day.

We went swimming at an Aquatic center in a nearby village. There were lots and lots of children. We even had to take a swimming test to swim in the deep end. YUP, even the adults......we passed. The teenage lifeguards who were more into getting a tan then really saving a life needed a break, so they cleared the pool for about twenty minutes or so. We finally get back in and about ten minutes later they cleared the pool again. WHAT?? Turns out there was a pool pooper. YUP, someones little turd left a turd. They cleaned the pool and then about thirty minutes later we could get back in and yes since we payed $7 each to get in and had only been there about 2 hours we did get back in so we could spend the remaining $5 balance. However, we stayed clear of the pooper spot, it was in the kiddie area and we were in the deep end.

We left and headed home for showers and a good poop cleansing. Then took the boys to Pole Position which is an indoor go-kart track. They had some free passes burning a hole in their pockets. It cost $25 for one ride which is a mere 14 laps. Can you say RIP OFF!!! I can and did.

On to the more funny part of our tale. We are heading home when we stop at a red-light. I look over and see a man in a white mustang, notice the word man, and not handsome man. He looks like he has a military hair cut I say "Ashley, do you think he is military?" she says "ummm I don't know maybe." I say while still starring at him "I wonder how long I can stare at him before he turns his head and looks at me."

Then it happens, he lifts up his right hand into the window and kinda shakes it and wiggles is ring finger with the little silver band on it. He wanted to make sure I knew he was married.

I'm happy to know he is married cause that is one less weirdo I have to worry about, and I'm happy for his wife to know that she is married to a faithful man.

Love and miss all

Goodbye Texas

I know, I know I have been gone for a month and I'm just now posting my goodbye.

I don't have many pictures because, 1) I didn't take a bunch 2) the ones before I left Athens are on Mom's camera.
But here is what I have.

I left Athens on Tuesday August 4th, and headed to Dallas. I stopped off at my grandmothers and said good-bye. Then I stopped at my cousin Tennettes (Annette). It was her baby girl Peyton's first birthday. We stuck around for cake and played a bit. Then headed off to Kristi's. We spent the night there and then went to lunch with my friend Brenda and her daughter Brianna. Bri has moved to College Station just like I did TEN years ago when I graduated high school. After lunch we went to see Aleigh and Brie and tell them bye because they were at their Aunts house when we did the goodbyes in Athens.

Then we headed out, but wait......Drew called and he was just getting off work so we met for ice cream and a goodbye. Then we were off.

We drove straight through. It was a fun road trip but we were both sick of the car before we even got out of Texas.
Mom packed the car good!! Those pictures are on her camera. We made it safe and sleepy. I did well not crying or freaking out UNTIL about two hours from the new house when I looked out the window looked at a mountain and said "What the heck have I just done." That is when the tears started flowing but I tried hard not to so Maddi wouldn't see me crying. She calmed me down by saying good sweet stuff that sisters say.
I'm still job hunting and hope I get something quick.
Love and miss all,
CaliAmber
