My days

My days consit of sleeping in till way past 10, I wake email/FB, eat, shower and usually have nothing else to do so I nap. Yup I'm usually not even sleepy I just have nothing to do so I lay down and before I know it I'm out as if I was actually sleepy.

I have pretty much stopped looking for a job until I get back from Texas, everything seems to be seasonal. I hear the job market should pick up in January. Can you say a prayer, please?

I'm pretty much down to enough money to live for the next couple of months so extra spending is just out of the question. Which forces me to stay home and be bored.

I know that one day I will be so busy I will look back and say why did I not treasure these days but for now I would actually like to stab myself I'm so bored!

Today I woke up around 9:30 and cleaned with Ashley cause Mimi is coming, Today I have been occupied so I will stay alive at least one more day! :)

No really does mean no this year.

I think every year I say I'm not sending Christmas cards and then I end up doing it anyways. I just love Christmas cards. I love getting them and I love even more trying to come up with a cool picture to put in mine. Since I don't have kids I have to be a little clever.

This year I will be in Texas the 16th- 6th. No time to send cards. I also have no money. :( I would not even be able to buy stamps. :(

I still would love to get cards from everyone else. I do understand no send no get, but just maybe you will take pity on me and send one anyways. :)

I can't believe it either

Yup, I went and saw New Moon today. I know I still can't believe it either. I haven't read any of the books and only saw some of the first movie when the kids or someone else was watching it. I was reading in the people magazine the other day that Dakota Fanning was in New Moon and I really like her so I thought I would maybe watch it.

Today a friend called and asked if I would take her 13 year old to see it because she has little ones and couldn't. She bought my ticket and I went and I took a friend with me who did read the books.

I got in the theatre and after waiting in a huge line, and when the previews were over the screaming started, and there was more when Jacob took off his shirt.

SPOILER ALERT!

I was a little sad that Dakota Fanning was only in the movie for maybe 10 minutes and it was near the end.
There were lots of people saying "NO" and "WHAT" at the end.

SPOILER ALERT OVER! (wasn't a very big spoiler was it?)

All in all it was a good movie. I'm not into the whole vampire scene and get a little confused, but I liked the movie.

On another note there were some great previews! I think When in Rome, Dear John, and Dear Juliet (or something like that) will be good movies!

Texas here I come

I bought tickets to go home for Christmas, but not just Christmas I will be there new years too! I will be the 21 days!! I'm more than thrilled.

I'm going to organize myself with a calender of where and who I will be with everyday. Make your reservations quick!

Then I'm coming back to California and taking any job I can get. I need money!

Newport Beach Temple

This is the Newport Beach Temple....This is where I'm going to get married. It is beautiful and It is PINK!!! Not pink pink but a nice simple pink. When it was being built the city did not want it to be white so this color was picked. I love it! It is very very pretty!

These are the doors.

Isn't it just lovely! There is a really pretty water fountain on the side/front. It was at night so it wasn't on and I don't think a picture would have turned out very good anyways.
P.S. I don't know why blogger will not let me move pictures around in my post. It frustrates me.

P.P.S. I'm not engaged or dating anyone, I just plan to get married here in the FAR future when I'm ready!

Staying up late!

Well I'm back on my stay up all night sleep all day kick.

For a very short time I was going to bed around the same time as Ashley and then we woke up together and walked the dog. It was nice, well just walking and talking, not getting up early.

Then the real me showed. I became a grouch in the mornings. I have always not been a morning person at all! I just don't like mornings and I do not like to be talked to in the mornings. I guess I had been a little of a grouch the whole time Ashley just finally got fed up. She said I was mean and she was no longer going to wake me. She wasn't joking either, so I just stopped getting up. We don't walk together anymore, and it is a little bit sad. I usually just jump on the treadmill after I get up.

I continue to be a grouch in the morning and then the other day I decided that it just isn't nice. I'm trying to be better and today I was. YEAH!!!

However, I usually sleep till noon unless I have to get up and I stay up until 3AM when the TV channels all switch over to paid programing.

What kind of life is this??? You would think I would opt to change, but I like quiet night time alone and then Ashley has quiet time in the mornings to do homework. I figure once I find a job I will have to give up staying up late and sleeping in but for the rest of this week anyways (one more day) I'm going to keep on being lazy!

I agree noon is just a little late. I will try better next week. :)

Just testing this out. Learned I can blog a little easier from my phone.

What am I doing?

I'm saving......CALORIES!

Last night I passed on sour cream.....saved calories

Last night I did not eat a donut when I was being tempted with them in front of and behind me.........saved calories

Last night I did not eat ICE CREAM.......saved calories

I'm eating.....VEGGIES!

Last night I only ate a few carrots and cucumbers......eating veggies

Tonight I bought.......veggies and cut them up for tomorrow

I'm hoping to lose some weight, and cut out the possibility of getting diabetes or having a heart attack before 30.

Irritated

I'm completely irritated right now. I was going to post some blogs and put up pictures from my Halloween, The pirate party, Boat dance and just other stuff.

I started the Pirate Party and uploaded pictures and started typing but then I remembered that there were some other pictures I need to put on the computer. Then I switched to the boat dance and uploaded them but for some reason I can not move them once uploaded like I did before. GRRRRRR

Now I'm irritated because I didn't upload them in the right order, and now that I'm irritated I'm just not doing it. Most of them are already on facebook and I only think a few people read this and the people that I know read it are on my facebook so they have probably already seen them.

I'm still looking for a job. Some days I think that will end up being the story of my life.

My busy week!

This is the best week ever! Listen to my Calender!

Monday - I gave the lesson at FHE (a church function where we get together have a lesson and hang out) I was suppose to talk on Elder Wirthin's talk "Come what may and love it" It was mostly about how we all have trials in life and the Lord gives them to us so we can grow and be strong. WELL.....when people heard I was talking they got all excited to hear about TEXAS. At the last minute I changed it and talked about TX. Cali folk LOVE LOVE my accent which I like because I was scared it would be really annoying to them like twang accents are to me. I made everyone laugh, and they say they like me. It was nice!

Tuesday- Today I applied for some jobs. I'm still having a TRIAL here but like Elder Wirthin says "Come what may and love it." :) Tonight I'm just hanging at the house.

Wednesday- The girls from church are going over to the Smith's house (I love the Smiths, Brother Smith graduated from TAMU Commerce just like me, but before it was TAMU) We are eating Halloween food and watching a movie. My new good friend Melissa (We have really hit it off, we are way alike) is in charge and because we are friends I'm helping her!

Thursday - Every Thursday I have Institute (It's like a Bible study class) I'm not the teacher but I'm in charge. I plan activities and go to meetings where other towns Institutes come together and plan activities. This Thursday after class everyone is coming back to my house to roast marshmallows in the back yard.

Friday- We are going country line dancing. Everyone is really really shocked that I do not own boots and do not know how to country dance.

Saturday- I actually had two things to choose from 1 was the above mentioned Institute activity in a nearby town, but instead I'm going with my new friend Melissa to a Pirate Party! It is a family that has a big party every year and this year the theme is Pirates! My costume is going to be crunk!

WOW so busy!! I love it! I love it so much here I have so many friends that have the same standards as me and are single like me! It is so great!

Oh and on the 30th is the boat dance in San Diego, that has to be the best part about this entire month!

Love and Miss all

The simple things

I love Halloween Oreos. When I saw them at the store a couple weeks ago there was a beam of light around them and I heard an AAAHHHHHH sound. It was a glorious ending to a depressing day. It's the simple things in life that make it so good.

Not quite the order I wanted my pictures, but I can't get them to move. :( There you have it the first dunk and bite of the season.

A night at the Movies

Tonight the boys went to the football game. Ashley and I enjoyed a night out. We ate dinner did some shopping and went to the movies.

The regular movie here cost $11.75!! Highway robbery to me! I heard about a theater here that is a little cheaper and some of the older movies. I suggested we check it out. I admit it was a little dark and dreary this neighborhood. Let me tell you first since I have lived here I have yet to find a "Ghetto" side of town, this may be the closes, but still not bad.

We decided to see the Proposal we get our tickets, candy, coke and popcorn. We saved so much on the tickets we had the money for junk. Oh yah the tickets were $4.25, a steal if you ask me.

We were a little early and the first in the theater as we are walking past the broken seat to sit down Ashley says "I'm scared, I'm scared I'm going to get lice, this place is gross." I say "It is no worse than the dollar movie in Mesquite." to which she replies "Yeah and do you ever go there?" my answer "Well no, it's gross."

We wait patiently for the lights to dim and the show to start all while the empty seats around us are quickly filling up. I get so lucky that two girls come in right as the previews start and have to discuss what they want to get from the snack bar. If you really know me then you know that I DO NOT like to miss the previews of the movies.

Into the beginning of the movie the jerks are still talking. At some point the stopped, but don't get to happy because I am so lucky and have done something right to be so lucky that a guy walks in and sits next to one of the girls. He is RIGHT in front of me, and do you know what happened next, they started kissing and I'm not talking a nice little hello nice to see you today kiss. I'm talking a loud I can hear you kissing, THANK YOU! Kiss! I could even hear it over the movie. It irritated me more than the guy in my left ear repeating every other word of the movie.

YES, folks I should have paid $11.75, but would it have been any different?

Oh and in case your wondering, we pulled our hair up, and didn't lean back in the seats. We are lice free!

The search continues

I know I'm not keeping a very good updated blog at all. I promised I would when I moved for mom.

Here is a quick one:

Still hunting for a job, the economy stinks in case you haven't heard.

I made some friends at church so I have been getting out of the house a little more.

Monroe is on a 10 day leave before he goes back to training then he comes home for a few days and then leaves. With him here we have been sleeping in, and eating all kinds of junk.

Those 7 pounds I lost, are back.

I got my hair cut, It is around my shoulders. Once I can fix it and like it I will take a picture.

I'm using my GPS less and less.

I haven't been to the beach since Maddi left.

That is all I can think of now.

Love and miss all,

Little Lost

I have lost 7 pounds since moving to California. My clothes still don't fit and I still feel fat, but the scale has moved.

I'm on Day 3 of no soda. I hope I can keep going.

I have eaten more chips ahoy today than anyone should have.

Funny, and True Story

Ok It began on Labor day.

We went swimming at an Aquatic center in a nearby village. There were lots and lots of children. We even had to take a swimming test to swim in the deep end. YUP, even the adults......we passed. The teenage lifeguards who were more into getting a tan then really saving a life needed a break, so they cleared the pool for about twenty minutes or so. We finally get back in and about ten minutes later they cleared the pool again. WHAT?? Turns out there was a pool pooper. YUP, someones little turd left a turd. They cleaned the pool and then about thirty minutes later we could get back in and yes since we payed $7 each to get in and had only been there about 2 hours we did get back in so we could spend the remaining $5 balance. However, we stayed clear of the pooper spot, it was in the kiddie area and we were in the deep end.

We left and headed home for showers and a good poop cleansing. Then took the boys to Pole Position which is an indoor go-kart track. They had some free passes burning a hole in their pockets. It cost $25 for one ride which is a mere 14 laps. Can you say RIP OFF!!! I can and did.

On to the more funny part of our tale. We are heading home when we stop at a red-light. I look over and see a man in a white mustang, notice the word man, and not handsome man. He looks like he has a military hair cut I say "Ashley, do you think he is military?" she says "ummm I don't know maybe." I say while still starring at him "I wonder how long I can stare at him before he turns his head and looks at me."

Then it happens, he lifts up his right hand into the window and kinda shakes it and wiggles is ring finger with the little silver band on it. He wanted to make sure I knew he was married.

I'm happy to know he is married cause that is one less weirdo I have to worry about, and I'm happy for his wife to know that she is married to a faithful man.

Love and miss all

Goodbye Texas

I know, I know I have been gone for a month and I'm just now posting my goodbye.

I don't have many pictures because, 1) I didn't take a bunch 2) the ones before I left Athens are on Mom's camera.
But here is what I have.

I left Athens on Tuesday August 4th, and headed to Dallas. I stopped off at my grandmothers and said good-bye. Then I stopped at my cousin Tennettes (Annette). It was her baby girl Peyton's first birthday. We stuck around for cake and played a bit. Then headed off to Kristi's. We spent the night there and then went to lunch with my friend Brenda and her daughter Brianna. Bri has moved to College Station just like I did TEN years ago when I graduated high school. After lunch we went to see Aleigh and Brie and tell them bye because they were at their Aunts house when we did the goodbyes in Athens.

Then we headed out, but wait......Drew called and he was just getting off work so we met for ice cream and a goodbye. Then we were off.

We drove straight through. It was a fun road trip but we were both sick of the car before we even got out of Texas.
Mom packed the car good!! Those pictures are on her camera. We made it safe and sleepy. I did well not crying or freaking out UNTIL about two hours from the new house when I looked out the window looked at a mountain and said "What the heck have I just done." That is when the tears started flowing but I tried hard not to so Maddi wouldn't see me crying. She calmed me down by saying good sweet stuff that sisters say.
I'm still job hunting and hope I get something quick.
Love and miss all,
CaliAmber

First day of School

Well, not for me, BUT everyone back in Texas. I missed it!

Alex is a freshman, Brie is in 8th, and little Aleigh isn't so little anymore she is in 6th grade!

I'm still on the job hunt. I got a rejection letter from a staffing agency that I had hoped would help me out. Then today I got another one from a company that I had applied for that did not even require my degree I just thought I would be able to get a foot in the door, AND they rejected me too! I'm feeling defeated but I will press on. ha!

Tomorrow I'm going to do what I have been putting off and go get my fingerprints done so I can get licensed to work a pharmacy in California. I just really didn't want to do Pharmacy. Hopefully if I do I can quickly find job that uses my degree.

I just got back from walking the dog tonight. He is so good it makes me want one of my own, but I know mine would not be so well behaved.

Maybe one day I will feel up to changing my blog layout to a more California friendly one.

Love and Miss all

Update! Update! Update!

Get ready, I'm not in the mood to make a zillion post so here it is all in one!

I'm in California! I love it here! I'm going to try and post more often since I never call home, not because I don't miss everyone but just because I don't feel like being on the phone much.

I will start with when I got here, Oh let me summarize the key people first.

Ashley- My cousin, my dads brothers daughter, also my drill sergeant she is kicking me into shape. Making sure I wake early, cutting my naps in half, making me walk, and keeping me in the job hunt. (I appreciate it even though I complain).

Monroe- Her husband, He is in the military, and works LONG hours because he is about to deploy to Afghanistan.

Zach- their first born, he use to call me Bur-Bur, now its Chub-o. He drives now and well I feel old!

Andrew- the youngest but full of muscles, this kid works out 3 times a day. He just got braces and is still in pain.

Bandit - the dog who is super spoiled but even I spoil him too.

OK so when I first got here Ashley's mom was visiting and Maddi was here so it was still like a vacation. We did some fun things, found a super cool beach that is about an hour away and so so nice.

Now everyone is gone and the boys are back in school. I went to a career workshop the other day that was very very helpful. I have applied a few places and tomorrow I'm going to get my fingerprints done so I can apply for the Pharmacy Tech positions and then at least have some income while I look for the job of my dreams.

I went to church on Sunday and felt old. I went to the Young Single Adults and well they sure are young, but I will go more before I decide I am just way too old.

Ok I thought I would have more to say but well I don't. More updates later.

Love and miss all,
CaliAmber

Road Trip

Maddi and I left dallas at 4pm today it is midnight and we are 182 miles from El Paso! I don't think we will ever get out of TX. We are going to try and just drive all the way but we may end up needing to stop.
West TX smells nasty. Maddi says she never wants to drive thru it again. It really is a whole lotta nothing on this stretch. The speed limit is 80 but at night it is 65 so we don't even get to fully enjoy the raised speed limit.

I'm really really going to miss my family and friends. I hope people visit me. I hope I find a job QUICK that will allow me to visit often.

Oh I almost forgot I'm moving to California! YAHOO!!! My trip was so great I'm going to try living in "The Broke State!"

Please only leave encouraging comments, I'm already thinking the scary stuff.

cali Pictures, Images and Photos

YUP, I'm going there! I leave Wednesday morning at 7:30! This time Maddi is going with me! We are going to have the most fun! We have a long day of flights on Wednesday but it will all be worth it when we get there. We are visiting my cousin Ashley and her family and are super duper excited!

The best thing is that I will be spending my favorite holiday "JULY 4th" in the sunny state of California!

Swimming

I have been doing LOTS of this! We got a pool and some of Jana's friends came down and built a deck It has been so nice! I just wish we had some nice patio furniture.

The girls (Aleigh and Brie) came to visit for about a week and It has been so much fun. We swam, rented movies, went to the movies, just hung out. I bought them some goggles for the pool and the talked me into buying a snorkel set and I tell you what it was the most fun! I loves wearing and just swimming all over under the pool.

Addi will not get in the pool. We got her in once and then she started saying that she is too little and scared to swim. Scotty and I just grab her and she screams and eventually stops and just holds onto us with a death grip, and says "I wanna get out of pool." We let her out. She will lean over the side and put her hands in but she will not get in. I make her wear her life jacket if she gets near the pool.

That is Alicha with Addi the one day she swam.

Keeping the pool clean has been a real pain! I want a pool boy!

Luggage

Since I'm going to California on July 1st and my only suitcase has a busted zipper, I wanted to buy a new set of luggage. I have needed to invest in a good set of luggage for awhile now since I'm always on the go.

Tonight I went on a hunt. I checked out several sites and looked up reviews and after about 2 hours (I know I have a lonely boring life) I finally decided on a set.

It said it would be delivered in 3-5 business days and then after I PAID the site says I will not get the luggage until JULY 1st!!!

That does not work!!!!!

I canceled my order and now I still need luggage.

That's right I have another degree to add to my pile! I feel smart! I'm looking for jobs and looking into grad school. I'm not sure what I'm going to do now.

Job Hunt

I'm on the hunt. I'm a graduate and have no idea what I want to do.

Week as Mommy

I know it is way past but here is how our week went: quickly.

I was very tired and worn out, but loved every minute...well maybe not quite EVERY minute. Will woke up happy everyday. He would just smile and smile. Chandler woke up easy for school everyday. Kennedy well she was just the sweet princess she is.

Dinner, bath, and bed was always hectic, but we made it.

Drew hung out with us several days he and Will turned out to be good buddies. Annette came to visit on Tuesday with Cooper and Peyton. Maddi surprised me for my birthday and showed up at bedtime on Tuesday and stayed till after Real World/Road Rules Challenge on Wednesday. We met Elaine and Annette at play group. Jene was there for a little bit. Then after everyone left we went back home and visited with Annette some more. Cooper and Kennedy played really good together. Rebbecca and Bella came over and brought cake. While the adults were in the living room chatting the kids were on the trampoline and decided to turn the water on while they were all still in their clothes.

Thursday, We went to the mall with Drew and dinner with Cassie. Friday I got my hair done by Cassie while the kids had a play-date. My hair looks Great! Friday night we went to Maddi's graduation and spent the night at moms. Kristi says It is a miracle that Will slept in the bed with me because he loves his crib and does not sleep unless he is in it. I informed her it was a miracle and he did not sleep well. My one day out of the whole week to sleep in and Will awoke at 7AM Sharp! Maddi is GREAT and was awake and so she came and got him and let me sleep in, Yahoo for sisters! I was about to wake up and she brought him back cause he was ready for a nap so I said well I will sleep some more. Mom and Maddi entertained Kennedy. Chandler was with Grammy and Grampy and Will and I slept till 1. It was the best graduation day ever. (That was the day I graduated except I didn't walk cause I didn't want to wake up early! )

We picked Chandler up from Grammy and Grampy went home and got ready for a primary activity were all the parents dropped the kids off and went somewhere else and I just stayed I should have left ha ha. Gabriela came with us, it was nice to have her there to entertain the kids while I picked up. Sunday we didn't make it to church because well the TRUTH.......I was very sleepy and the kids were sleeping and I just didn't want to wake them. Drew came over and I finished the book we made for Kristi and Nathan. We took a picture everyday holding a sign saying what day it was. The kids liked it cause they could count down how many days till mom and dad came home. Every night before bed we wrote letters to mom and dad about our day. I compiled it all into a scrapbook and before long Kristi and Nathan were home. They had fun and the kids missed them. Nathan entertained the kids while Kristi and I dished about our weeks away.

I love keeping the kids for Nathan and Kristi but it is hard hard going 7 days without talking to my best friend.!

They are the sweetest kids. Will smiles all day which makes me smile. I miss sitting on my bum all day and taking naps. Bedtime is at 8 and I'm ready for bed then too.

Since it has been so long.

I know I have not posted in awhile but life is busy when your GRADUATING!

I have been finishing papers and test, I have 2 test left then I just have to wait for grades.

Since I have been slacking, I have a peace offering.....a sneak peek at my graduation pictures that will be in the mail soon with an invite to my Graduation/Birthday celebration.

P.S. (I know a GREAT photographer)

Never turn your back

Since I live with my two year old niece there are a few things I have learned happens when your not paying attention. I begin with a list of things that happen when you turn your back. (note: some of these things happen when we are in the same room, asleep and she is awake and we do not know it or we think we can leave the room for just a min and it be OK, but all have happened in the last few months.)

They might put finger nail glue on their thumb.

They might poop in the potty, attempt to wipe, put diaper back on then use the potty as a stool for the cabinet and put bronzer on one eye, shirt, legs and floor. Then they just might try to clean it up with a towel.

They might decide to brush their teeth using every toothbrush.

They might change clothes 7 times a day and fall between the dresser and stool trying to reach the shoes we don't like.

They might get eggs out of the fridge, break them and fall.

They might get grapes out and then daddy might slip and fall on the grapes they dropped on the floor.

They might spray Febreze all over the kitchen table.

They might lock the cat in the toy box. They might just torture the cat.

They might go outside and play in the rain.

They might paint their own fingernails, toenails, body, and carpet.

They might smear lotion all over daddy's night stand.

They might put cornstarch and Vaseline all over their clothes.

They might get a straw and go around the room drinking any liquid in a cup.

They might get cookies out and you will find them EVERYWHERE.

A very merry Easter

Happy Easter! I worked today, It was raining and dark this morning when I woke up at 6AM, I did not get out of the bed until 6:40. I had to be at work at 7, I was still the first one there. I looked like crap, but I was there. I got to deal with rude nurses all day. I actually hit my breaking point today and emailed my boss about how rude they are. I know because he always takes their side that nothing will come of it, except the fact that I was able to vent and felt much better.

I came home stuffed myself with food and took a nap, woke up and have been doing homework since. It is 11:25 and I just realized I did not call my wonderful mother or my sisters. I would call them now but they might actually put a hit out on me for that. (They are not the night owl I am)

We got Addi an Easter basket with some sidewalk chalk, a princess set a Tiara, wand and earrings, Candy and her favorite prize was a wind of chicken that laid gum eggs. (She does not know it is gum).

Here is a video of her reaction when the eggs come out. She did it every time so I had to get the camera.

Because I am who I am I have to point out things in the video.

- Her hair, her bangs are long and I can not stand them in her face and she would not sit still for me to clip them nicely so they are bunched over to the side looking a little goofy.

-Her dress, A neighbor made that when she was like 6 months old, she fits it now.

-If you look real close at the end of the video you can see our ghetto rigged washing machine. The pipes come up above the washer and there is a rope tied around it and pulled to the wall. Something to do with when it drains and old houses have small pipes and new washers drain to quickly so we had to add length to the pipes and the rope was something I tried once and it did not work and has just stayed there. HA

The hardest

It is 4:30 am I just finished by far the hardest assignment in my entire college life! I'm happy to be done I feel like a 5oo pound bad of dirt has been lifted off my shoulders. If the grade turns out good then I will be really happy.

I'm not even sure I did the assignment right so please everyone stop what your doing and pray for me right now. Pray that I will get a very good grade.

I have to be up soon for work so I'm going to sneak in a nap really quick.....I'm so sleepy!

Oh NO!!!

I just had an "I can't believe I did that moment."

I was reading a magazine that had a clip about losing weight and it said to go to this website and up load your picture and then put in your goal weight and It will show you what you will look like after your weight loss. Sounds great right.

WRONG!

The website says to upload a picture with form fitting clothes and full length. I want a good idea of how hot and sexy I will be after I lose weight so I put on some pink pants that are pretty snug just like yoga pants and a white tight camisole with a very bright blue bra underneath, after all this was only for me.

WRONG!

After uploading my picture and clicking the next button I'm told to log into my facebook to see the new me. WHAT?? It was a facebook application! I did not log-in because Oh my facebook tells everything and the last thing I need is my picture in a blue bra, white tank and some pink pants oh and don't forget everything was formfitting, posted on all my friends feed showing them my not so sexy weight full picture!

Then I'm reading post that other people have put on the application page asking how to find the picture. Then see where many have said they have spent hours looking for the pictures and can't find them.

SO somewhere on the world-wide-web is a beautiful pretty disgusting picture of me. As long as it does not pop up on my facebook feed I think I will be able to remain living, BUT if people I know or barely know end up seeing this I will die, I mean it I will have to crawl in a hole and just die. HA

Shopping Chair

I want this Chair in my home!

Outsourcing

I wish it was not so cheap to outsource jobs to INDIA, or wherever they are outsourced to.

I was going through mail that I picked up at mom's this week and my credit card came. Just to let you know it was not a new one. The one I had expired so it was just a replacement card.

I needed to call and activate the card. I called and said all my numbers to activate it then it asked if I wanted to set a pin. (of course I said NO I do not need access to anymore have to pay back money.)

Then I was transferred to a person. First, why do I have to punch in my numbers and activate the card and THEN talk so someone. The man tells me how much money I owe which I do not care to be reminded of!

THEN he says kdldkid dkdodk dkdlfjkd dkdfjldj kdjfldkfjd jeimvin'n iekn edicknvh ihtenlivodnemn k oaiovnel idhfoidnfndl $15 oeinvkoeins idjivnens;on dd viidnl dina;nb indnbvuen idnfnedofdi and I will need to read you something else that will only take 30 seconds of your time. (OK listening to him jabber just took more of my time than I wanted.)

I quickly jump in and say "WAIT are you signing me up for something?" his reply "lkdondk fidondk idnlfkd dkjfidmch kndneosk dkndockn $15 invni dkviodk idnlsi knfodicn 9inlcnk kndoindm idnnabd dkndld l kdoa dm dhfaocmc OK" My reply "WHAT? No I do not want to pay for anything do not add anything to my account." Him "OK thank you Miss Smith your card is now activated."

I still have no IDEA what he was trying to sale me, BUT I know I didn't buy it!

Splashers don't have friends

I'm on spring break.

I came to corpus with my mom and little sister Maddie.

We went swimming tonight at the hotel pool. I was swimming laps (trying to, like a pro). I was having to swim horizontally cause there were other people in the pool. I was staying out of the way, plus it was a shorter distance to swim.

All of a sudden....A women in brown short, white t-shirt with out a bathing suit or bra on and a pink bow that would be in a 3 year old child's hair get in the pool and starts swimming vertically, kicking her feet above the water and running into everyone. Once she hit you she said "sorry." Then started splashing water again.

I think that is just RUDE!!

*Title of this post is a quote that is famous with my cousins and me cause I screamed it once when their kids were splashing me and they all love and say it all the time, and I do too!

*Also I will post more vacation stuff later now I'm going to climb into my comfy hotel bed and start snoring.

Very Funny

All in a day of pranks

WE, US, My family......are very fond of pranks.

The folks I live with love to jump out and scream. We do it so much Addi laughs when it happens to her and has since she was tiny. We do things to make us all laugh and tonight was no disappointment. Here's how it went down.

Shelby took a shower, while she was in there under nice warm water I came in said I needed to pee.....dumped a large glass of cold water over the top of the shower curtain.....causing her to scream very loud and I laughed very hard.

Scotty came home from work....took a shower....Shelby says she needs to pee....I dump water.....He says "oh I'm going to get you."

Scotty gets out of the shower......I start getting very very nervous. He chases me around the house trying to pop me with a towel. It hurts.

I decide I want to put saran wrap over Shelby's door......I can't get it to stick.

I put saran wrap on the toilet.....laugh uncontrollably thinking about Scotty peeing and it splashing back on him.

Scotty and I wake Shelby up with an oil check and throwing a ball in her face. She curls up in fetal position and goes back to sleep.

I go to Whataburger....Come home and watch Real World....Jana starts laughing uncontrollably I run to my room to see what has happened....pull back my covers to see a sponge bob pillow laying there with a banana peeled and stuck like a male body part...I fall over laughing take pillow and banana to throw at scotty banana snaps in two in hallway.

I tell Scotty that's pretty funny but not as funny as what is going to happen to you. He says yah you have a mess to clean in the bathroom we found your prank. I throw fit that I was gone when it happened. I go in bathroom to see mess and there is POOP on the saran wrap....I gag.

Turns out Jana peed thought the tank was overflowing can't figure out what is going on....Figures it out. Scotty makes a concoction of chili and chocolate syrup and places it on saran wrap. I have to clean it.....I gag LOTS, then scrub my hands with soap.

Scotty surrenders and wants to call it a night, I'm out of ideas so I agree.

A to do list

I have not posted in awhile cause I have nothing to post about. I have a million things running through my head. I will let you in on all my thought with a simple maybe not so simple to do list.
(This is the to-do list mostly to be done before next week.)

1. Clean out garage and load car with stuff to take to mom's for her garage sale on Saturday.
2. Do the laundry that has been piled up for 2 weeks.
3. Pack clothes for my trip to mom's.
4. Write my Whole Foods case analysis that is due on Sunday by midnight.
5. Study for and take a quiz on Friday.
6. Start and Finish Lesson 5 for Mgt 307 that is due on Tuesday (These lessons take about 5 hours to do).
7. File my taxes (I have till April 15th to do this.)
8. Finish filling out graduation papers (I'm pretty sure these are past due).
9. Mail out the Thank-you cards that are in my purse and have been for over 3 weeks.
10. Apply for some jobs.
11. Study for Mid-Terms that are on the 13th.
12. Un-pack summer clothes and pack for Spring Break (that I at least have a little over a week for.)
13. Clean up this messy messy room

AAAHHHHH! It seems like so much less when it is all listed out.

Oh so I work all day tomorrow, then I have to drive to mom's, help with the garage sale all day Saturday then come home Saturday night and then Sunday I have church and I work all day on Monday and Tuesday so most of the school work is going to be hard to get done.

I'm about to go out to the garage with Jana and get that done. I told Shelby I would give her a ride to the movies tomorrow if she would do my laundry. Woo-Hoo I get to mark off two things!

Homemaker

Tonight we had the missionaries from church over for dinner along with another guy from church. When I signed up to feed them I was not working on Tuesdays then all of a sudden work switched things up on me and I now work on Tuesdays. Lucky for me I live with other people who can help since they would be here 30 minutes after I got off work.

I'm not a big cook. I love to cook and wish that I was a good one, but the lack of having my own family keeps me from experimenting and such. Jana cooked a roast, I made a salad and I made dessert. I am very very proud of my dessert since I'm not much of a "homemaker." I made a banana cream pie and it took all of 10 minutes which was the best part. The guys loved it and told me I did well! :)

Maybe I will invite them over more and try cooking other things. One of them asked me "Are you not a homemaker?" I said "No not yet but one day I hope to be." Then he asked if I was a microwave girl, I said "No, I'm a take-out girl."

I figure once I have a husband and children at home I will cook more but it is just silly to cook for myself, AND there is usually someone else around that cooks for me. I'm so loved and spoiled.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy, Let me make something clear quickly....I'M NOT. There are several blogs that I follow and friends that I have that are recently pregnant. I just read a blog the Mom already has twins that are 2 and she is now pregnant with TWINS again.

In the past you would find me sulking with great sadness that I was not the one expecting.

BUT, I'm more than happy to say.....I'm happy for them and happy that it is not me. I have become very selfish and have no desire to give up my anytime naps, free to go and do as I please, money, food, peaceful lonely bathroom breaks or loud music in the car for anyone else. The list could go on and on, but I do have homework to complete.

Just be happy for me that I'm not expecting, but congrats to all those that are. I can't wait to hold your bundle of joy and then hand it back and take a nap. :)

Press 7.....Then laugh

We got a new house phone. I never answer it cause it is never for me. When it rings I just stay in the bed and wait for the message. The new phone is funny! Here is what the message says when the answering machine picks up:
"This is an answering machine, please leave a message."

Jana decide we need to change the message. We do. I love to have nontraditional messages and I think this one would have to be one of my best. If you were to call our house and the machine pick up this is what you would hear:
"If your calling for Jana press 1, Scotty press 2, Shelby press 3, Amber press 4, Addiysn press 5, Just kidding you don't have to press anything just wait for the beep."
What makes this so funny, thinking of people pressing buttons and becoming frustrated.

When I got home last night I checked the machine and this is what I heard:
"Hi Jana this is Brad with (insert whatever finance bill collector he was) I'm looking for Laura. When you talk to her could you ask her to press 7 and call 903(insert whatever that number was)."

It's nice to know that he can find humor in his job. I went to bed laughing it was nice to fall asleep laughing and not crying for a change.

A little update

I have been so lost and busy that I have not posted much lately. I'm updating like crazy right now. I need to be organizing my car and room cause I can not even begin to tell you what a mess they are. I have bills that need to be paid, school work to be done, clothes to be washed, bags to be unpacked, but all I want to do is crawl in my bed and listen to songs that remind me of Daddy and do nothing. I'm in the bed, I'm listening to the music but I'm blogging.

I got a new calling at church I get to help with the youth. The girls 12-18 have a program called young women and I'm the personal progress leader. Which means I get to spend Sunday and Wednesday with the girls helping them with their personal progress which is a program that they complete to get a fabulous necklace by completing projects that will teach them different values while bringing them closer to the lord. (In a nutshell I think I explained it pretty well). I'm super super excited about it. I have wanted to work in the young women FOREVER!

I am still the Single Representative. Not much going on with that but I do have the Singles over on Monday night for Family Home Evening. Not many in the group to begin with and not many come but that's OK.

Well I have talked myself into doing all the above mentioned on the to do list. I will post more updates later. I'm pretty dull these days.

A new semester, The last one.

I started a new semester at school. I don't have a funny story this time. Mom always likes to hear the first day story cause something usually goes wrong, I get stuck in desk, lost or spill something on me. I have nothing funny cause I missed the whole first week of school. School started on Tuesday, Daddy died on Wednesday. I have 3 classes online and one on campus. The class on campus is on Thursday, I have not gone yet.

I logged onto the online classes and printed out my syllabus today. Its going to be a busy semester. I know I say that every semester, but this one is going to be. OK so I say that every semester, but this one is different.

There is a friend from church that is in one of my online classes who I will study with. Hopefully he will help to keep me from procrastinating.

This is my last semester, for that I'm happy! I will probably continue and be a professional student, but I will have one more degree under my belt.

Daddy

The only man I have ever loved passed away on January 21, 2009. The only man that has ever loved me is gone. My life is forever changed. I cherish every moment I had with him and regret everyone I didn't.

My daddy laughed at my first car wreck. He made me call family and friends and tell them all about it. I didn't go home and cried cause I thought he would take my keys away, but he just laughed, after he made sure I was ok.

Daddy danced to the Rob Thomas/Santana song, Smooth and thought he was the sexiest man alive.

Daddy loved life, Elvis, and his kids.

Daddy lived in Dallas and had a pig in his backyard.

Daddy went bald at a very young age. He wore a toupee, I loved him bald the best.

Daddy drove a ugly white van that looked like a suppository, and had no seats in the back and the engine was under the front seats.

Daddy even loved my blonde hair, not many did.

Daddy was 54 when he died and he was born in 1954.

Daddy wore shorts that were to short for a man to wear, and only he could pull it off.

Daddy could fix things.

Daddy had a weak stomach, just like me.

Daddy had hemorrhoids thus earning him the nickname "HIMMY" from his friends.

When daddy gagged it sounded like he was saying "BUICK" which is really funny cause he sold cars.

Daddy taught me how to play black jack and we use to bet with pennies that he saved up in a Folgers jar when we lived in Wills Point.

Daddy loved to wear Hawaiian shirts.

Daddy loved to play jokes.

Daddy always made me smile.

A Christmas Story

I don't have pictures from Christmas at my Mothers because Brie got a camera so she took all the pictures along with Grandma and I have not gotten mine yet.

I worked 7-4 on Christmas Day, Then went to moms house and opened gifts with Mom, Maddie and Stetson. Then Selena and her crew came over and we opened gifts then ate a yummy meal cooked by Mommy. Then Alex and David left to go home and play X-box and the rest of us played games. Then I took Selena and Brie home. Brie showered while Sis and I chatted then Alex and Brie went back to Grandmas with me for a Slumber party. When we got back Grandma suggested we all put on our NEW Pj's and go take pictures with the yard art on the square. When we got back we played a taste test game with soda......I won....the prize was a pack of Big Red gum. We played more games and then went to bed. I took the kids home in the morning and then it was back to work.

Then Sunday was Christmas with my dad's side of the family at my Grandmothers house. My cousin Erica was the host this year and picked the theme of a Hoedown Christmas. We had brisket and it was YUMMY. The bottom of the invitations said "Don't forget to dress the part." I apparently was the only one who saw it or the only one who was silly enough to "Dress the part." I borrowed some boots and attempted to look like what lives in this Dairy farm town! I think I did well the only thing missing was a hat! Oh, and the REST of the family being dressed up. Some of the kids had cowboy hats but nobody else looked like a fool.
Here I am before we left town.

Here is me with my new man.

Is this not the prettiest baby girl ever.

I need one for myself.

Rance, Jayden, Tennete, and Peyton.
