No time

Man I really really need to update this blog. My background is all jacked up and I haven't even posted since I moved back to Texas.

I'm working and working LOTS!! One week I worked 20 hours OVERTIME! Insane. I have been going since I got back to Texas. Monday will be my first real day off. No work and no other commitments. I'm very much looking forward to doing absolutely nothing! Maybe I will lay in the bed and update my blog.

Until then you will have to be annoyed by the whole no background thing.

A few quick things.

Biggest Loser is over. :( I lost 29 pounds and 10.5 inches. That was my total pounds lost for the 15 weeks of the challenge, My own count is up to 34 now. I can't wait for the day when I can say 65!

The Yellow team is the team that won most pounds lost! We each won a free month at the gym that was the sponsor.

Here is a picture of the first ever "Yellow Team" Huddle. We did these huddles at the beginning and ending of every work out. Patrick would say "1 2 3" and we would yell "YELLOW TEAM."

Here is our last one ever. :( This was after the grand finale.

Here is a pile of clothes that I got rid of because they did not fit. I can't remember the final count I think it was 5 pairs of jeans, 9 pants, 6 shorts, 17 shirts and then a few scrubs.

I was taught how to play the saw on my 29th birthday. That is right, I am 29.

Grrrr.....

Why will blogger not allow you to upload a picture and then move it! This is not acceptable!

Sad Day

While I was at the conference, Brother Kim and Brother Kehoe were released from being counselors in my branch Presidency. I like many others in the branch were devastated and are still having a very hard time adjusting to this change. Kehoe was the second counselor, the one over my calling in Institute and my home teacher, and lives just around the corner from me. His wife is just as great as him. I have grown very close to them both and I am very very very sad.

Pic: Kehoe and Brother Kim toasting Chocolate Milk to their good-bye. Kehoe is in the Hawaiian shirt. We had a good-bye Bar-B-Q for them last week.

A weekend away

I went to a Mid-singles Conference last weekend in Huntington Beach. It was a blast! These are the girls I went with along with Alex Boye and Mark (I think it was Davis) Alex sings and Mark plays the piano. It was the best part of the entire conference! It was so uplifting, Alex also spoke and what a motivational speaker!

Excitement!

I have had a blog for a very long time. I have finally rubbed off on my family. Selena has started one. Gabriela, has started a second one, I think she forgot the password for the first one, and Mom has after a year finally posted again!

This means I better get my butt in gear and start posting more!

I'm still in California, and I'm still unemployed, but it's all OK because I'm going HERE this weekend!

I'm back.......

Well hopefully. I just haven't kept up much with my blog since moving. Strange. I thought I would be blogging much more since I'm so far away. I went to Texas for Christmas and now I'm back in California.

I really really really love this coat!! I think I look Lovely in it!! One of the buttons fell off when I got back from Texas but someone in California that thinks I'm swell, sewed it back on for me! :)
Ashley's birthday was the 19th. She informed me when I moved here that this was "all about Ashley day." I stayed up until after she went to sleep and put notes all around the house. Well my intention was all around the house but they all ended up in her room. I put a big one on the mirror that said "Happy Birthday Ashley I love you-love Amber" then there was one inside the medicine cabinet that said Happy Birthday and one in the drawer where she keeps her make-up one the room with the toilet and one in the closet. She enjoyed hunting them down.
She always wants to eat a Jack in the Box and Chilli's on her birthday. We met the boys for Lunch at Chilli's and then did some shopping, went by Priscilla's and watched a movie. Then for dinner we ate Jack in the Box. I made sure I was extra nice that day. Here is a Picture from lunch.

Ashley's friend Priscilla has 5 kids. I have pretty much adopted the youngest 3 since moving here. Alianna is about to turn a year old, Christian is 5, and Angie is 8. I was at the house one day when Angie came home from school and said she was going on a field trip. I asked if people could go as helpers. She said yes and wanted me to go so I did. It was so fun. I didn't ride the bus. I made a sack lunch and left it in my car, I was so hungry after the field trip. We went to the Western Science Museum. We learned about the water cycle, why there are not dinosaur bones in California, and about the fossils that were found and what paleontologist and archaeologist do.
The kids got to be archaeologist and dig for fossils in the lab. It was pretty neat. They also made fossils in another part and looked at different stuff. Then we ate our lunch and the kids went back to school and I came home. It was a fun day and makes me excited to have kids and get to help out at their schools someday in the future.

I'm still on the hunt for a job, and I'm hopeful something will come about real soon.
