My busy week!

This is the best week ever! Listen to my Calender!

Monday - I gave the lesson at FHE (a church function where we get together have a lesson and hang out) I was suppose to talk on Elder Wirthin's talk "Come what may and love it" It was mostly about how we all have trials in life and the Lord gives them to us so we can grow and be strong. WELL.....when people heard I was talking they got all excited to hear about TEXAS. At the last minute I changed it and talked about TX. Cali folk LOVE LOVE my accent which I like because I was scared it would be really annoying to them like twang accents are to me. I made everyone laugh, and they say they like me. It was nice!

Tuesday- Today I applied for some jobs. I'm still having a TRIAL here but like Elder Wirthin says "Come what may and love it." :) Tonight I'm just hanging at the house.

Wednesday- The girls from church are going over to the Smith's house (I love the Smiths, Brother Smith graduated from TAMU Commerce just like me, but before it was TAMU) We are eating Halloween food and watching a movie. My new good friend Melissa (We have really hit it off, we are way alike) is in charge and because we are friends I'm helping her!

Thursday - Every Thursday I have Institute (It's like a Bible study class) I'm not the teacher but I'm in charge. I plan activities and go to meetings where other towns Institutes come together and plan activities. This Thursday after class everyone is coming back to my house to roast marshmallows in the back yard.

Friday- We are going country line dancing. Everyone is really really shocked that I do not own boots and do not know how to country dance.

Saturday- I actually had two things to choose from 1 was the above mentioned Institute activity in a nearby town, but instead I'm going with my new friend Melissa to a Pirate Party! It is a family that has a big party every year and this year the theme is Pirates! My costume is going to be crunk!

WOW so busy!! I love it! I love it so much here I have so many friends that have the same standards as me and are single like me! It is so great!

Oh and on the 30th is the boat dance in San Diego, that has to be the best part about this entire month!

Love and Miss all

The simple things

I love Halloween Oreos. When I saw them at the store a couple weeks ago there was a beam of light around them and I heard an AAAHHHHHH sound. It was a glorious ending to a depressing day. It's the simple things in life that make it so good.

Not quite the order I wanted my pictures, but I can't get them to move. :( There you have it the first dunk and bite of the season.

A night at the Movies

Tonight the boys went to the football game. Ashley and I enjoyed a night out. We ate dinner did some shopping and went to the movies.

The regular movie here cost $11.75!! Highway robbery to me! I heard about a theater here that is a little cheaper and some of the older movies. I suggested we check it out. I admit it was a little dark and dreary this neighborhood. Let me tell you first since I have lived here I have yet to find a "Ghetto" side of town, this may be the closes, but still not bad.

We decided to see the Proposal we get our tickets, candy, coke and popcorn. We saved so much on the tickets we had the money for junk. Oh yah the tickets were $4.25, a steal if you ask me.

We were a little early and the first in the theater as we are walking past the broken seat to sit down Ashley says "I'm scared, I'm scared I'm going to get lice, this place is gross." I say "It is no worse than the dollar movie in Mesquite." to which she replies "Yeah and do you ever go there?" my answer "Well no, it's gross."

We wait patiently for the lights to dim and the show to start all while the empty seats around us are quickly filling up. I get so lucky that two girls come in right as the previews start and have to discuss what they want to get from the snack bar. If you really know me then you know that I DO NOT like to miss the previews of the movies.

Into the beginning of the movie the jerks are still talking. At some point the stopped, but don't get to happy because I am so lucky and have done something right to be so lucky that a guy walks in and sits next to one of the girls. He is RIGHT in front of me, and do you know what happened next, they started kissing and I'm not talking a nice little hello nice to see you today kiss. I'm talking a loud I can hear you kissing, THANK YOU! Kiss! I could even hear it over the movie. It irritated me more than the guy in my left ear repeating every other word of the movie.

YES, folks I should have paid $11.75, but would it have been any different?

Oh and in case your wondering, we pulled our hair up, and didn't lean back in the seats. We are lice free!
